HARRISBURG, Pa. – A retired police chief said he was robbed by “probably the dumbest criminal in Pennsylvania,” at a police officers’ convention on Friday morning. John Comparetto said as he came out of a stall in the men’s room, a man pointed a gun in his face and demanded money. There were 300 narcotics officers from Pennsylvania and Ohio at the gathering.
We have all had this happen. We got to our favorite restaurant and they ran out of a certain item. It happens so we order something else. Or I have already ordered and it turns out they ran out. No Problem the cashier may not have know, so get your money back order something else. It is NOT AN EMERGENCY….
FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald’s employees told her they were out of Chicken McNuggets.
A police report says 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.
She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.
It is never a good idea to run from the police, however neither is hiding under a truck.
PHOENIX – A suspect who ran away from a traffic stop on Wednesday chose the wrong place to hide when he slipped under a parked moving truck — and then was run over when the driver pulled away. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said an officer stopped a 26-year-old man in west Phoenix just before 7 a.m. after he ran a red light. The man gave the officer his license, then ran away and disappeared behind a convenience store.
Yahoo! News brings us this exciting report of a shoplifter that hired… well seriously… next time get someone that actually knows how to drive.
CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Authorities are looking for a shoplifter who was run over twice by her getaway car after stealing $1,200 worth of designer purses from a Cape Coral store. A T.J. Maxx security guard told police she saw a woman stuff six designer Dooney & Bourke purses into her pants Tuesday morning and walk out of the store. The guard said she was confronting the woman when a car pulled up.
I think the real entertaining part here is where they say “Authorities are looking for”. What do you mean? Seriously a woman gets run over twice and the cops still can’t catch her? wow.
This Surrey Man decided to steal a JCB and lead cops on a slow speed getaway. What’s a JCB you ask? Click Here. No I’m not kidding. The bloody idiot actually though he could outrun police in that. Heres a clip from the Register’s wonderful article:
A Surrey man who stole a JCB, provoked the “the slowest police chase ever”, shrugged off a tasering and was cuffed only when the mechanical digger shed its tracks was earlier this week convicted of the vehicle’s theft and dangerous driving, the Surrey Advertiser reports.
William Smith, 29, of Nutfield, made off with the JCB from a Worplesdon building site on 13 August last year, the paper reports. A local resident alerted police, who quickly dispatched an Armed Response Unit to the scene. One PC Goddard decided he could dispense with his pursuit vehicle, and gave chase on foot.
He told Guildford Crown Court: “It was probably going at about 10 or 15mph. I was able to keep pace at a fast jog. I shouted ‘Stop, police!’ through the open cab window, but the driver refused to pull over. He looked in my direction and then swerved the JCB towards me.”
LIMA (Reuters) – Peru’s top court has ruled that workers cannot be fired for being drunk on the job, a decision that was criticized by the government on Wednesday for setting a dangerous precedent.
The Constitutional Tribunal ordered that Pablo Cayo be given his job back as a janitor for the municipality of Chorrillos, which fired him for being intoxicated at work.
The firing was excessive because even though Cayo was drunk, he did not offend or hurt anybody, Fernando Calle, one of the justices, said on Wednesday.
FORT WORTH, Texas – A man who would have been on probation for his drug conviction will now have to spend six months in jail — all because he fled before hearing a jury’s sentencing verdict.
To make matters worse, James Carroll Franklin was captured after a high-speed chase through three counties, for which he faces more charges that could bring additional jail time.
Franklin, 47, of Azle, apparently panicked Wednesday after hearing prosecutors in the Wise County courtroom urge jurors to sentence him to life in prison, said his attorney, Jim Shaw.
BISMARCK, N.D. – Police get calls about drunken drivers all the time, but rarely do they come from the alleged offender. A 17-year-old girl in Bismarck called 911 on New Year’s Eve “to report herself driving under the influence,” police Lt. Randy Ziegler said. “I’ve never heard of such a thing happening, and neither has anyone here.”
The girl told authorities her location shortly before midnight Wednesday and officers found her in a parked car near downtown, Ziegler said. She failed a sobriety test and was arrested for failing to have control of her vehicle while intoxicated.
